ABOUT THE SHOW

‍It’s the first ever live show starring Jim Henson’s Fraggles, featuring walkaround costumed characters and new puppet creatures from Jim Henson’s Creature Shop!

Gobo, Red, Mokey, Wembley and Boober Fraggle discover the legend of the Celebration Stone - an ancient Fraggle treasure that has the power to bring everyone together for the greatest party of all time, but was shattered and lost generations ago. As the Fraggles set off on an exhilarating, adventurous journey exploring exciting new caves within Fraggle Rock and even beyond, they discover magic that they never knew existed, and learn to work together to unite the lost pieces of the magical artifact. Can the Fraggles succeed in their quest to bring the Celebration Stone back to Fraggle Rock so everyone can enjoy the most incredible party in Fraggle history? And along the way, will they find something even more memorable and heartfelt then they could have ever imagined? With fan-favorite songs and exciting visual effects, this all-new musical stage adventure will welcome audiences to the incredible world of the iconic and beloved Fraggle Rock in a whole new way!

SEEKING:

‍Seeking STRONG dancers with puppetry experience (not necessary but a plus) and puppeteers with STRONG dance ability between 4’11” and 5’2” and 5’6” and 5’9” for Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock Live, a new live touring show based on the Apple TV series. Characters will be brought to life using full body costumed versions of the Fraggles with mechanized mouths and hand puppet sized versions of the Doozers, oversized elements for the Gorgs and new puppets all built by the world-renowned Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.

CHARACTERS:

‍GOBO: (5’6”-5’9”): Our sweet (always!) and fearless (usually!) leader, who lives to explore the seemingly endless caves and tunnels of Fraggle Rock with his friends. Gobo’s always up for an adventure and a song, and his optimism is infectious in the Rock though occasionally his stubborn nature can get in his way. MUST BE A STRONG DANCER AND PHYSICAL ACTOR. PUPPETRY EXPERIENCE A PLUS.

MOKEY (5’6”-5’9”): a gentle, caring, curious soul, in tune with the natural world and always looking to make a connection. She sometimes relies TOO much on her intuition, which can get her in a jam, but she’s also undeniably tapped into something special and loves yoga, meditation and any kind of art. MUST BE A STRONG DANCER AND PHYSICAL ACTOR. PUPPETRY EXPERIENCE A PLUS.

RED (4’11”-5’2”): Red is a ball of Fraggle energy who likes to dive, spin, run, and whoop her way through the day. She occasionally loses herself in competition and has to dial it back but is ultimately a strong, dependable friend and tireless engine for fun in Fraggle Rock. MUST BE A STONG DANCER AND PHYSICAL ACTOR. ATHLETIC SKILLS AND TRICKS A PLUS! PUPPETRY EXPERIENCE A PLUS.

WEMBLEY (4’11”-5’2”): Wembley is a “Wembler” – he has trouble making decisions – but it’s usually just that he’s so enthusiastic and excited about all of the fun things to do in Fraggle Rock, it’s hard to choose! Sometimes, he doesn’t speak up for himself, but he’s working on that! And in the meantime he’s the most positive, fun, ridiculous friend you could ever hope to have. MUST BE A STRONG DANCER AND PHYSICAL ACTOR. PUPPETRY EXPERIENCE A PLUS.

BOOBER (4’11”- 5’2”): Boober imagines all that can go wrong in Fraggle Rock, and then some. It’s not like he’s a pessimist; in his mind, he’s a realist! So sure, Boober has a bit of a doomsday streak, but really, preparing for disaster helps him feel safe. That, and a good soup! (He’s an incredible chef).  Boober is sensitive, caring, fastidious and always good for a wry comment and is also wildly talented at doing laundry. MUST BE A STRONG DANCER AND PHYSICAL ACTOR. PUPPETRY EXPERIENCE A PLUS.

PUPPETEERS: (EITHER 4’11 – 5’2 or 5’6 – 5’9)  will perform hand puppet versions of Cotterpin Doozer, Architect Doozer and others as well as oversized puppet elements
